Executive Headteacher
Following sixteen years of senior leadership, seven as Headteacher, in mainstream secondary schools, Jon joined Outcomes First Group in early 2023 as Principal of Options Bankside College in Malvern. Jon worked alongside other leaders and staff to successfully open Options Bankside School in September 2023 and became Principal across both SEND settings. Since then, Jon is proud to be appointed the permanent Headteacher of Brookthorpe Hall School in July 2024.

Sabrina Chowdhury
Deputy Head Teacher – Inclusion SENDCo
After having trained as a teacher, Sabrina has spent the last ten years teaching, and later leading, in inner-city London schools. She was appointed Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Lead SENDCo across a number of good and outstanding schools. She obtained her National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination (NASENCO) through the institute of Education at University College London. Sabrina has a deep passion for inclusive education and is determined to ensure all students are given every opportunity to succeed and achieve outstanding life outcomes. She sees her role as being the voice and advocate of the students and families she serves.

Emma Watkins
Careers Lead and AAD Champion
Emma is our Careers Lead and AAD Champion for Brookthorpe after 31 years of retail with a leading supermarket in a variety of roles and stores, Emma felt that her experience would be valuable to our students. She was a Senior Manager for 20 years where Emma supported young people on work experience, gaining valuable experience of work and shaping many young people’s careers within retail and beyond, enabling them to grow in social and communication skills. Emma is also a Foster Carer working with teenagers, supporting them to reach their potential.
Emma has been in this role for 6 months and teaches the Incredible Futures Careers Curriculum for the Upper Phase Students and will be introducing Careers to the Lower Phase students over the next few months. Each Module works towards an AQA Certificate. Careers is not just about employment, it is also about teaching life skills, whether this be cooking, social and communication skills, looking to invite employers and employees to the school to talk to our students about what work involves and what.
We are building the Careers plan and look to build relationships with the Community and other educational providers to give a balanced offering to our students.
Part of Emma’s role is to build relationships with parents and work together to find the best option for their young person.
