Beltane Fire Festival – May 1st
As part of our curriculum, we celebrate festivals from a variety of cultures. We recently enjoyed celebrating Eid al-Fitr and this term pupils have focused on the Scottish Beltane Festival. Beltane is an old Gaelic festival to welcome in the summer where hopes and wishes are shared and crowns are made to thank the earth for the good things it provides us. To celebrate Beltane all pupils and staff participated in food tasting, ribbon stick making, flower crown making, fire pit activities and traditional Highland Games. It was another wonderful moment where our school community came together again!
